TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said his party leaders from Telangana and Andhra Rayalaseema region have presented their views to the Srikrishna Committee in tune with the sentiments of people of the respective regions.
"We have made our stand very clear on the state bifurcation issue. Our leaders from the two regions only represented the people's sentiments to the five-member committee," Naidu said at a press conference in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
He asserted that both Telangana and Andhra-Rayalaseema regions were his "two eyes".
"For the last 29 years, people of the two regions respected the TDP immensely. In fact, our party belongs to all the Telugu people," he said.
"Let the Congress high command first spell out its stand on the statehood issue. I shall speak after that," Naidu said to a query.
The TDP chief demanded that both the State and Central governments fight the case effectively against Karnataka Tourism Minister Gali Janardhana Reddy's Obulapuram Mining Company which got a temporary reprieve from the Supreme Court in the illegal iron ore mining case.
