The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday asked people to teach the ruling coalition a lesson for its misdeeds and wrong policies.

Addressing a public at the Mogla area of Kalakote assembly segment, PDP candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat, Yash Pal Sharma said policies being propagated by the present regime headed by the National Conference have increased miseries of the common masses.

He said during the past five years this government has not taken even a single step to minimise woes of the people. He said government has rather compounded hardship of the people through its wrong policies.
Calling upon the people to support PDP in the coming Lok Sabha elections, he said only a regional party, with tested and experienced leadership, can effectively highlight people's problems at the national level.

He pointed out that the present era is an era of regional parties and PDP is the only credible regional party of Jammu and Kashmir. "PDP has capability to vociferously take up people's cause at all platforms," he said and mentioned that during its tenure the PDP had proved how to solve people's issues.

Taking a dig at the National Conference for bartering people's interests for power, Sharma said like other parties the PDP has never compromised with its agenda for enjoying power. He assured the gathering that the PDP would continue with its pro-people agenda to mitigate woes of the common masses.
