A day after the gruesome murder of 12-year-old Pushpender Kumar, his absconding tuition teacher on Tuesday allegedly threatened to kill his 14-year-old sister Puja. The teacher is suspected to have killed the minor and hid his body in a bed box at his rented accommodation.
The victim’s sister is a student of Sarvodaya Girls Government School at Anand Vihar, Delhi.
“I spoke to Virender Pratap Singh (the teacher) on his mobile phone this morning. He said he has killed my son and would now do the same to my daughter. We are so worried,” said Ravi Shanker Kumar, the father of the victim.
Meanwhile, the police said they are facing some difficulty in tracking him as his landlord had not followed the procedure of tenant verification. Also, the school where he taught, Little Kingdom Public School, had failed to maintain his personal record.
Pushpendra was allegedly murdered by his 40 year old teacher-cum-tutor at his Sahibabad residence by slitting his throat with a sharp weapon. The teacher had allegedly misbehaved with the victim’s sister.
“We will ensure the family’s safety. Singh’s mobile has been put up on electronic surveillance and teams have been dispatched to Lucknow and Devariya to track him,” SP (City) Anant Dev said.
