Teachers? leaders try to get schools of choice

THE PROCESS of selecting examination centres for UP Board examination has started. This has prompted various school management and teachers’ leaders to ensure centres of their choice for their schools.

According to sources, the selection committee of the District School of Inspector would select about 253 examination centers.

However, the DIoS and the department’s team were doing primary survey to assess the facilities in all the proposed schools under consideration as examination centres.

Sources said indirect and direct approaches for getting school included in the final list of examination centres had started.

They also informed that while selecting a school the secondary education authorities were paying special attention to the school’s reputation located in the south city areas. During the last exam there were large number of complaints regarding mass copying from some schools of the area.

Besides, it was also being observed that schools have properly built accommodation and are not having the “Teen” shades at class rooms. The officials are looking that schools are not located in the congested lanes and have better approach, so that flying squad teams could have an easy excess to these schools, it they are made the centers.

This year one more school was added to the list of blacklisted schools. There are 559 schools in the city.
