BHOPAL WON the team championship in the 52nd State-level school sports at the Government Subhash School for Excellence grounds on Saturday. In boxing,  Bharat Yadav in pin weight, Pravin Kurrey in bantamweight, Faiz Ahmed in featherweight, Pratap Singh Kushwaha in lightweight, Mahendra Singh in lighter weight and Rahul Singh in heavyweight won their respective matches to get overall championship to Bhopal.

In the concluding function of the boxing matches, additional director, Public Instructions and Schools Games Federation of India secretary Avadh Kishor Mishra, deputy director, Sports Brijesh Mishra and school principal Rajesh Tiwari were present.

Indore dominated in the State-level school kho-kho competition held at the Sarojini Naidu Girls Higher Secondary School, Shivaji Nagar, on Saturday.

In the girls’ category, Indore defeated Tribal Development, Jabalpur defeated Ujjain, Rewa defeated Sagar and the match between Bhopal was Gwalior was draw.

In the boys’ category Indore defeated Jabalpur, Ujjain defeated Tribal Development, Gwalior defeated Bhopal and Rewa defeated Sagar.

In the semifinal for the girls’ category, Indore trounced Ujjain and Jabalpur Tribal Development. In the semifinal of boys’ category, Indore defeated Tribal Development and Ujjain defeated Jabalpur.
