Telelogic, Sweden-based leading provider of software solutions, on Tuesday said it planned to expand its operations in India by adding 50 engineers in the next 12 months at its product development lab in Bangalore and opening offices in Chennai and Hyderabad by next month.
Telelogic presently has 220 employees in India, where its country operations are the third largest globally after those in the US and Britain, with the Bangalore lab, its largest, employing 100 engineers.
"There will be a further expansion of Bangalore product development lab by 50 per cent," Telelogic Chief Executive Officer Anders Lidbeck told reporters in Bangalore.
Telelogic had opened regional offices in Pune and Delhi and two more were planned in Hyderabad and Chennai, he said.
"We have established a strong customer base here that spans multiple verticals like mil-aero, telecom, finance and automotive," Lidbeck said.
Engineers at Bangalore lab develop and test latest Telelogic products along with the company's other product development labs based in the US, Britain and Sweden.
Lidbeck said India was among the top 10 in revenues for Telelogic, which expected India to overtake Japan to be the number one in Asia in terms of growth "for us" in five years.
Telelogic, which began its India operations with a team of three in 2000, had a 33 per cent compounded annual growth rate between 2001-2005, he said.
