A temple priest is burnt alive while another sustained severe burn injuries while resisting a robbery bid in the temple in Bihar's Bhojpur district.
A temple priest was burnt alive while another sustained severe burn injuries when they resisted a robbery bid in the temple by theives in Bihar's Bhojpur district, police said on Thursday.
Five thieves raided the Narauni Dangar Mutt Wednesday night with the purpose of looting and on facing resistance from two priests Sudama Das and Lutawan Das burned them by sprinkling kerosene, Deputy Superintendent of Police ZA Rehman said.

While Sudama Das died on the spot, Lutawan suffered 70 per cent burns and was being treated at a hospital in Ara, he said.
Police are conducting raids to apprehend the thieves.
