Terrorists kill two villagers in Jammu and Kashmir

Militants today slaughtered a villager and shot dead a gujjar woman in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

Militants on Thursday slaughtered a villager and shot dead a gujjar woman in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

A villager Wasim Hussain was abducted by militants from Gursai village in Surankote tehsil of Poonch district and taken to upper reaches, the sources said.

Hussain was slaughtered by ultras, who had thrown his body on the outskirts of village, they said.

Panic gripped the area after recovery of the body and people in Surankote town closed their shops and business establishments, the sources said, adding they shouted anti-militant slogans demanding security in the area by army.

In another incident, militants fired at gujjar woman Dilshada Begum in Dandli area of Gool tehsil in Udhampur district and killed her on the spot, the sources said.

The army has launched operations in both the places to track down militants responsible for the acts, they said.

One villager Nazir Hussain was beaten and critically injured by militants in Surankote belt of Poonch district, the sources said, adding the injured have been hospitalised.
