Thank you Shane, for your faith in me

The last match against Deccan Chargers continued the good time this tournament has been for me. I also think it’s been an enriching experience because this competition has really helped me grow. Shane Warne’s ensured that.
He believes in throwing us at the deep end and that gets the best out of us. Not just me, even the likes of Ravindra Jadeja enjoy the fact that the skipper believes so much in us.
Over the past two years, Warne has given us a lot of confidence by letting us perform in tough situations. I believe I have played some of my best cricket in the IPL. Not just Warne, even the experienced Graeme Smith is fun being around because he has so much to share. Like the partnership we had the other thing, it was simply fantastic.
When everyone thought we were out of the game, Smith pepped me up and asked me to back myself. He believed more than anyone else that we could win. You cannot ask for more when one of the world's best openers backs you so much.
I am more than confident that we can repeat what we did last year. We believe in ourselves and more importantly our skipper believes in us and that’s half the battle won.
We are now in Durban for the game against Kings XI Punjab which will be a crucial outing as we need to maintain momentum. A visit to a game reserve was a welcome break and helped us bond better.
The win in the last game, especially the way we chased down the target was pleasing. We were able to come through a tough situation and it had a good positive effect on the side. Our morale is now very high and one more win we will be feeling like it is 2008. TCM
