Hollywood royalty turned out in full force on Sunday for the BAFTAs (British Academy of Film and Television Arts), at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden in London.

Expectedly, Kathryn Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker won her the Best Director and Best Film awards, while the Best Actor award went to Colin Firth for A Single Man.

Carey Mulligan picked up the Best Actress award for An Education. Twilight star Kristen Stewart received the Rising Star award.

Veteran British actress Vanessa Redgrave received an Academy Fellowship in honour of a career spanning six decades — legends such as Charlie Chaplin, Alfred Hitchcock, Steven Spielberg, and Elizabeth Taylor are previous recipients.
