It was the horror of listening to his eight-year-old son's ordeal that made him take on the top doctors of the country.

He spoke out, “So that no other child becomes the prey of paedophiles lurking in the corridors of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) — the 'premier' medical facility of the country.”

"I did not even know how to react when my son told me what the doctor did to him. He does not even know that the person he fondly called 'doctor uncle' sexually exploited him," he said.

On January 24, the boy's parents accused a senior resident doctor of fondling their son.

The incident took place in the doctor's duty room on January 23 around 10 pm, a day before he was to be discharged.
Earlier in January, when the eight-year-old told his father that he could only see from his left eye, the family was shocked and went to AIIMS hoping to get the best treatment.

"The doctors told me that my son was suffering from brain tumour. My world shattered. We immediately got him admitted," he said.

The operation went well and the boy was on his way to recovery when, according to his parents, their world went upside down.

"We brought our son back on January 24. He kept quiet for a long time and did not say anything. We thought he was in pain, but when we persisted, he finally broke down," he added.

"He told us that the doctor took him to the doctors' duty room. They he opened my son's clothes and had oral sex with him. Then, the doctor unzipped his own trousers and asked my son to touch him. When my son objected, the doctor threatened him," he said.

“I want that no child should become his next victim and go through the trauma faced by my son. I went to AIIMS doctors but nothing has happened till now. So, I reported the matter to the police,” he said.
