The iPad 2 features an entirely new design that is 33 percent thinner and up to 15 percent lighter than the original iPad, while maintaining the same 9.7-inch LED-backlit LCD screen. The iPad 2 features Apple’s new dual-core A5 processor for faster performance and better graphics, and now includes two cameras — a front-facing VGA camera for FaceTime video-chat and a rear-facing camera that captures 720p HD video. It still delivers up to 10 hours of battery life.
The iPad 2 with WiFi will be available for a maximum retail price of Rs 29,500 for the 16GB model, Rs 34,500 for the 32GB model and Rs 39,500 for the 64GB model. iPad 2 with Wi-Fi + 3G will be available for a maximum retail price of Rs 36,900 for the 16GB model, Rs 41,900 for the 32GB model and Rs 46,900 for the 64GB model.
Affordable 3D for the masses
LG Electronics is set to enter the Indian market with its next generation 3D TV — the Cinema 3D TV, which has LG’s proprietary Film Patterned Retarder (FPR) panel for 3D visuals.
Thanks to its FPR technology, the Cinema 3D TV optimises the separation of images for the left and right eye to give viewers clear 3D pictures with less crosstalk — meaning no more dizziness or eye fatigue. The Cinema 3D TV boasts of Smart TV technology, and includes access to content via global providers as well, including those in India. The price of LG’s Cinema 3D series of televisions range from Rs 94,990 to Rs 1,64,990 and from 42 to 55 inches in screen size.
