Shane Warne finds Indian food “a little spicy”, but nonetheless, he loves gorging on “butter chicken” in Delhi. In the Capital as the brand ambassador of Advanced Hair Studio, the former Australian cricketer says that he has got used to India now. “I have been coming here for a long time now and have got used to things here,” says Warne.
B-town connection and that includes Bollywood, too. “I’m friends with Shah Rukh [Khan] and Shilpa [Shetty],” says the Rajasthan Royals skipper, who’s “looking forward to seeing I’m Khan”. “No, My Name is Khan, right?” he clarifies.
The spin legend feels that the Bollywood element in IPL is a great thing. “Bollywood, cheerleaders, fireworks, music… I think all these are great for making IPL what it is,” says Warne. And what about the flamboyant after-parties — can they distract young players? “Obviously we have to unwind, maybe have a couple of drinks,” he says. “But you should know your own body," warns Warne.
Shane, being an endorser of hair therapies, would want Sachin Tendulkar to have a makeover. “Though he has a cool hair style now, but he’s growing older too,” says Warne, who has “always kept a close watch” on the Little Master. Who’s hairstyle does he admire in the Indian team? “Well, I like how Harbhajan [Singh] is, but wonder what he hides inside,” jokes Warne.
