Thee LeT commanders shot dead in J&K
The slain terrorists have been identified as Ashiq Hussain and Shabir Ahmed, both LeT section commanders.
Three self-styled Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) commanders were killed in a fierce gun battle with troops and police in Doda district, official sources in Jammu said on Thursday.
On specific information, a joint party of police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Tanta-draman forest area in the district, said the sources.
The three LeT terrorists were killed in the operation late on Wednesday night, they said adding that two bodies have been recovered even as the search operation is on.
The slain terrorists have been identified as Ashiq Hussain and Shabir Ahmed, both LeT section commanders.
Body of the area commander Saifullah is yet to be traced.
Troops seized three AK assault rifles, one SLR, three magazines and three SLR magazines from the spot, they added.
