There are no differences in BJP on Uma's return: Rajnath
Senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh today said there are no differences in Uttar Pradesh unit of the party over reinduction of Uma Bharti who has been given charge of the party's poll campaign in the state.
Senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh today said there are no differences in Uttar Pradesh unit of the party over reinduction of Uma Bharti who has been given charge of the party's poll campaign in the state.
"Since this decision (on Uma Bharti) was taken, I have been continuously touring and have not even entered the UP border. But there are no differences in the party on the issue," Singh told reporters.
"Some leaders from Uttar Pradesh met me after this development and I found that there are no differences in the state party on the issue," he added.
When asked if the BJP is annoyed with senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde, Singh said since the BJP is a large party, there are chances of people having grievances. "But, I think we can sort out these issues by sitting across the table," he said.
He termed the BJP president Nitin Gadkari's tenure as better than his own tenure as the party chief. "I can say, on a personal level, that Gadkari is doing better than me," Singh said.
To a question on Congress terming Yoga guru Baba Ramdev as the mask of the RSS and BJP, he expressed displeasure and alleged that Congress is indulging in such talks as it wanted to deviate people's attention from the issues of corruption and black money stashed in foreign banks.
