Theresians mark silver jubilee

A CULTURAL bonanza marked the silver jubilee celebrations of St Theresa’s Girls’ S S School (Piplani) organised on the school premises on Thursday. Governor Dr Balram Jakhar was the chief guest on the occasion. Minister of Industries and MP Babulal Gaur and Archbishop of Bhopal Rev Dr Pascal Topno were the special guests of honour while Retd DGP Terence Correya, Bhopal Collector S K Mishra and GM, BHEL Vijay Joshi were also present as the guests of honour.

In her welcome address, Principal Sister Maria Dias thanked the governor for his presence at the meet. In his address, Dr Balram Jakhar said, “It was a beautiful evening with wonderful people and beautiful surroundings.” Only discipline could make good citizens and only good citizens make the country great. Hence, it should be the school’s priority to bring up each student under the guidance of discipline and honesty.

A wonderful and colourful variety of programme showcasing the origin and growth of the institution in addition to its contribution towards the field of education was witnessed and enjoyed by the gathering.

The highlights of the programme were the songs sung by the school choir and a fashion show by the tiny tots of the school. The annual report detailing the achievements in the academic, sports and cultural field were also presented.
