Five B’town beauties are shedding the extra kilos. HT City gets you the dope on how and why
Post motherhood, Raveena looked chubby. But the actress has managed to lose 30 kilos. “I have been hitting the gym religiously for the past 8 months. I have lost most of my weight walking the treadmill for hours and running after my children.” Of her diet, the actress says, “I am eating very healthy, which does not mean I am starving myself. My funda is to have a balanced diet with no fried food and sweets.” Raveena’s new look is for her comeback film Chassni.
The actress has been working hard on her body. Rumour mills suggest that the lady is looking for a comeback. Her trainer and wellness consultant Manish Tiwari says, “I have been training her for the past five years and she is really focused on getting into shape, losing weight and toning her body. She does yoga five times a week complete with pranayam and kapalbhati.” Talking about her diet, Manish says, “It helps that she loves fruits, low fat salads, joware ki roti and beetroot juice. I have asked her not to eat anything from outside and she completely abides by it,” he says.
The actress is busy losing weight for her next film, My Name Is Khan and is looking slimmer. Her trainer Vrinda Mehta says that the actress has become extremely focused for the past 4-5 months. “Kajol does weight training three times a week, cardio three to four times a week and pranayam in the morning.” More than her fitness, it’s her diet that Vrinda is working on. “Nowadays, she eats fruits, green vegetables with chapatti and chicken once a day,” says Mehta.
At one of the events recently, Rani appeared in a kurti looking slimmer. Though she has only lost five kgs, her trainer Satya says, “We have achieved 90 percent of our target, but there’s still more to achieve. She is on a stricter diet and tougher exercises now. We should be able to achieve the target in the next fifteen days.”
When the world had almost believed that the actress has gone into hibernation, news has come that the girl was busy sweating out for the past six months to get a toned body for her films, The Broken Glass opposite Milind Soman and Chai Garam opposite Govinda. Esha visits her trainer, Satya, five times a week. She mostly does stomach exercises. Says Satya, “She’s doing cardio, stretches and weight training. We are giving special attention to her diet.”
