Thirteen people were arrested by the police for their alleged involvement in stone-pelting in Mukeripura area of the city on Saturday night where police had to fire several rounds of teargas shells to control the violent crowd.
"Thirteen people have been arrested so far for their alleged involvement in last night's stone-pelting incident following a dispute between a group of saffron outfit workers with few persons of the minority community," Indore SP, Anshuman Singh Yadav, said.
The situation is under control in the area as heavy police force was deployed to keep a vigil, he said, adding a unit of Rapid Action Force (RAF) has also been called.
While two persons were injured in the stone-pelting, a motorcycle was also set ablaze by the unruly mob, Yadav said.
The police official said an idol in a temple here was also "restored" to its original place by the district administration.
