A year after taking admission in MBBS at Moti Lal Nehru Medical College (MLNMC), a 'Munnabhai' has been caught.
The matter came to light when faculty members found different pictures of MBBS 48th batch student Dhananjay Yadav on the OMR sheet, which he filled during the CPMT-2008 exams, and on the examination form of MBBS first professional exam, which was held in August 2009, at MLN Medical College. On the basis of it, examination superintendent Dr Geeta Jaiswal stopped the student from appearing in the exam.
A five-member committee of MLNMC, who is probing this case, sealed all the documents related to his admission. The committee on Tuesday has also sent his report to the Director General Medical Education (DGME) for further action.
Resident of Jaunpur, Yadav, anyhow, managed to again get his form submitted for the supplementary exam of MBBS first professional, scheduled in the last week of October.
On finding this, Dr Jaiswal reported the matter to Principal, MLNMC Dr PC Saxena, who later set up a five-member committee on October 12, to probe the case of Dhananjay Yadav.
The committee was chaired by Dr Geeta Jaiswal, and comprised of finance controller and other senior faculty members. After inquiring, the committee sealed all the documents related to the admission of Yadav and submitted its report to the Principal of MLN Medical College on Tuesday.
When contacted Dr PC Saxena said the special five-member committee formed to probe the case of Dhanajay Yadav, found his different pictures on the OMR sheet (which was submitted during the CPMT exam in 2008) and that on the MBBS first professional exam form.
"The sealed report of the committee was today sent to the DGME for further action," he added.
The principal informed that MBBS 48th batch student Dhananjay Yadav took admission in MLN Medical College, Allahabad, in July 2008, through CPMT exam.
