Security around a historic temple in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur district was beefed up following a threat to blow up the shrine, some 500 km from Lucknow.
Security around a historic temple in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur district was beefed up on Friday following a threat to blow up the shrine, some 500 km from here.
"Swami Sahajanand Maharaj, a priest of an ashram adjoining the 200-year-old temple of Shakumbari Devi in the Shakumbari village of the district, informed us that he received an anonymous letter containing a threat to blow up the temple," the district's Senior Superintendent of Police Amit Chandra told IANS.

"We have already started investigations and strengthened the security around the place," he added.
