A suspected ULFA militant was killed on Monday in Assam while trying to plant explosives as rebels triggered two more blasts that also caused no casualties, officials said.
A police spokesman said an unidentified militant belonging to the United Liberation Front of Asom separatist force died when an improvised explosive device he was carrying blew up in Bongaigaon, west of Assam's main city of Guwahati.

There were two powerful blasts late on Monday in Guwahati city but there were no casualties or damage, the spokesman said.
