Three people died after they were hit by a train in Palamau district of Jharkhand early Wednesday morning, police said.
According to police, the incident took place between Chiyachi and Ketaki railway stations in Palamau district, around 180 km from here, when the three were crossing the railway track.
"It seems the villagers could not see the coming train due to poor visibility. The incident took place before sunrise. All the three were hit by the speeding train and died on the spot," a police official from Palamau district told IANS.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
