Three farmers commit suicide in Maharashtra

Three debt-ridden farmers in Western Vidarbha allegedly committed suicide.

Three debt-ridden farmers in Western Vidarbha allegedly committed suicide, police said.

Santosh (25) consumed poison on Tuesday in village Rajanda in Akola district. His father sold two acres of land to repay a loan. However, some loan was yet to paid back, police said.

Thirty-three year-old Gautam Narayan Surve and another farmer Shrikrishna Gangaram Rahate (45) also committed suicide by consuming poison, police said.
