At least three persons were injured when suspected ULFA militants hurled a handgrenade in a busy market place in upper Assam's Tinsukia town on Monday.

Police said the militants on a motorcycle hurled the grenade at Sankar glass house in the busy Gopinath Bordoloi road at 6.10 pm.

Three people who were pedestrians were injured.

The police has cordoned off the area and launched investigation.
