Three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists killed in J&K

Security forces have gunned down three Lashker-e-Taiba terrorists in separate encounters in Jammu division, police sources said on Sunday.

Security forces have gunned down three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in separate encounters in Jammu division, police sources said on Sunday.

Police and army troops shot dead a foreign terrorist of LeT outfit at Mathori in Doda district last night, they said, adding the slain terrorist has been identified as Abu Khalid of Sialkote area of Pakistan.

One AK rifle with three magazines and five rounds were recovered from the slain terrorist, the sources said.

In Poonch district, Special Operation Group of police and Rashtriya Rifle troops launched a search operation in Kasblari area of Mendhar Tehsil on Monday.

During the search, terrorists fired at security forces and in the ensuing encounter two terrorists were killed. One of the slain terrorist has been identified as Saiful Rehman of let. The identity of his associate is being ascertained.

Recoveries from the site of the encounter yielded two AK-56 rifles with its six magazines and 36 rounds, one pistol, one radio set and two pouches, the sources said.
