Three NDFB militants arrested in Meghalaya

Altogether three NDFB militants were arrested from a remote village along the Assam-Meghalaya border in West Garo Hills district, police said on Tuesday.

Shillong, June 30 (PTI) Altogether three NDFB militants were arrested from a remote village along the Assam-Meghalaya border in West Garo Hills district, police said on Tuesday.

The trio were sleeping in a village when they were caught during an operation by the police in Tikrikilla area
on Monday.

Two of their colleagues, who were holed up in a nearby cemetery, managed to flee after police raided the area.

During interrogation, the arrested militants revealed that they were staying in isolated cemeteries in remote villages to escape police action. They also revealed that the outfit used to hide weapons inside the cemeteries.
