Three persons arrested, two pistols recovered

Police today arrested three persons, one of them wanted in connection with several murder cases, from hideouts under Chausa police circle area and recovered two pistols from them.

One of the arrested criminals, identified as Subodh Mandal, was wanted in as many as dozen cases of murder and other crimes in Purnia, Bhagalpur, Madhepura and Katihar districts, including ones related to the murder of a teacher Niranjan Prasad Mandal and another case related to firing at the residence of Zila Parishad President Kranti Devi, the Superintendent of Police (SP) Varun Kumar Sinha said.

Two others identified as Rajo Yadav and Srinivasan Yadav were arrested from Misripur haat and two pistols recovered from them, he added.
