Three railway gangmen were crushed to death by a speeding train in Bihar's Munger district on Wednesday.
The mishap occurred near the eastern cabin of Dashrathpur railway station when the gangmen were working on the up track, officer in-charge of Jamalpur government railway police station Bindeshwari Paswan told PTI.
So immersed were the victims in the work that they could not not notice the rapidly advancing Dadar-Guwahati express train until it came too close.
They leapt towards the down track just in the nick of time, but unfortunately for them, came under the wheels of 3236 Danapur-Sahebganj express which rumbled down the line.
Senior railway and police officials have rushed to the spot, he said, adding the names of the deceased were not immediately known.
