Three terrorist hideouts unearthed in Jammu

Army troops unearthed three terrorist hideouts and arrested an over ground worker in Jammu division on Thursday.

Troops unearthed a hideout in Kote Behrote area of Thanamandi belt of Rajouri district and recovered two grenades, one magazine and 44 rounds, official sources said.

The troops also arrested an OGW identified as Mohmmad Haneef from the hideout.

Another hideout was unearthed in Jabri area of Surankote tehsil in Poonch district and 2 ak rifle magazines, 37 rounds and some explosive material were recovered from the area.

Troops also unearthed a hideout in Musara area of Mahore Tehsil in Reasi district and two IEDs, the said adding 500 grams of explosive were recovered from him.

Three bodies were, meanwhile, recovered from three rivers in Kathua and Reasi districts.

Body of 28-year-old Darshan Singh of Khaddi village in Kathua district was recovered from river Sewa last evening. Singh had gone to meet his sister in an adjoining village when he was washed away in the river.

Another semi-decomposed unidentified male body was recovered from Teh bank of river Ravi in the same district on Wednesday.

Another unidentified male body of a middle aged person was recovered from Chenab bank in Reasi district on Wednesday evening, they said adding the victim seemed to be brutally tortured.
