Three terrorists were killed and two policemen injured in Udhampur and Rajouri districts of Jammu and Kashmir since Wednesday night.
A LeT terrorist was killed and two policemen injured in a fierce gun battle between ultras and a joint team of police and army in Kotli Kalaban area of Rajouri district on Thursday, officials said.
Two more terrorists were still holed up in the maize fields in the locality when reports last came in, they said.
The injured cops- identified as Head Constable Mohammad Qasim and Constable Aslam- have been shifted to hospital, they said.
One AK rifle and two magazines were seized from the encounter site, they said.
Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with Rashtriya Rifles during a cordon and search operation in Gulabgarh belt of Udhampur district late Wednesday night.
The operation was still on to track down two more terrorists, who escaped from the site.
Troops also recovered two AK rifles, three magazines, two IEDs, three grenades and a wireless set, officials said.
The terrorists possibly belonged to Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) and efforts were on to identify them, officials said.
