Collecting stamps is a famous hobby as well as an easy activity, which provides many lighter moments. Well, if you are an avid stamp collector here are the top five stamps you must add to your kitty.
In 2004, Austria issued the world’s first crystal-coated stamps. The stamps, created by Swarovski crystal producers, cost 7.50 euros (Rs 442) and were produced in conjunction with the Austrian postal service.
2. Soccer ball
In March 2008, the Austrian post office issued a stamp made of the same material as the UEFA European Championship ball. The stamps, costing £3.75 (Rs 259), were made to promote the UEFA Euro 2008 championship.
The United States postal service started selling stamps featuring the Simpsons, the longest-running comedy in TV history, in May 2009. The stamps were sold for 44 cents (Rs 19.80) each.
