A top Lashkar-e-Toiba militant was among two ultras killed in separate encounter with security forces in Kashmir Valley, a defence spokesman said on Thursday.
Self-styled district commander of LeT Abdullah Uni was killed in an encounter with troops of 28 Rashtriya Rifles, nine Para and special operation group of local police at Dorusa-Lolab last night, the spokesman said.
One of the security personnel involved in the operation received splinter injuries.
In another gunbattle in Bandipora district, a militant was killed. The encounter was still going on when last reports came in.
