Tornadoes

Tornadoes, the famous motorcycle display team of the Indian Army Service Corps broke two world records on Tuesday, becoming the only team to achieve an enduring distance of 1,100 meter with 54 people on a single bike.

The 500 CC Enfield Motorcycle, having extended foot rests, carried the army personnel to mark the world record.

They broke the record of Corps of Military Police, who carried 48 people on a single moving 500 CC motorcycle recently. The Tornadoes, raised in 1982, gave the stupendous performance at the IAF air fields on the outskirts of Bangalore. Incidentally, this team had performed during the Asian Games in 1982.

The ASC team also made another record by carrying 55 people on a single moving 500 CC Enfield Motorcycle by covering a distance of 925m.

This bettered the record held by Corps of Military Police, who carried 48 people on a single moving 500 CC Motorcycle recently in the city.
