Prominent CPI(M) and trade union leader EK Narayanan dies in Kochi after a brief illness at a private hospital.
Prominent CPI(M) and trade union leader, EK Narayanan, a former Mayor of Kochi Corporation, died in Kochi on Tuesday after a brief illness at a private hospital, according to CPI(M) party sources. He was 87.
Hailing from Edakochi in Ernakulam district, Narayanan was the CITU Ernakulam District President and CPI(M) District Secretariat Member.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday.
Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and several CPI(M) leaders paid their homage to Narayanan.
