Train derails, services affected at Howrah

The derailed coaches were removed and work was on to repair the damaged track, officials said.
Four coaches of a local passenger train derailed at Howrah railway station in Kolkata, disrupting rail traffic.
Bardhaman local train was derailed while entering platform number 8 at midnight, blocking both north and south end of the Tikiapara deport, Eastern Railway officals said, adding no one was injured in the accident.

A number of long-distance trains were delayed on Thursday morning. The trains included Black Diamond Express, Ganadevata Express, Howrah-Ranchi Satabdi Express and Shantiniketan Express, they said.
The derailed coaches were removed and work was on to repair the damaged track, officials said.
The movement of local trains was not much affected, they said.
