Training on disaster management begins

A FOUR-day training programme on disaster management for officials of revenue department began today in the City. Disaster Management Institute, (DMI) Bhopal has organised the training programme.

A FOUR-day training programme on disaster management for officials of revenue department began today in the City. Disaster Management Institute, (DMI) Bhopal has organised the training programme.

Principal Secretary Revenue Pukhraj Maroo inaugurated the programme. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the important role being played by revenue officials and stressed on the need to bring about attitudinal changes among officials to effectively manage disasters especially relief response management.

In all 30 officials from various districts of the State are participating in the programme. The main focus of the programme is on flood disaster preparedness and others.
