TRS on Thursday petitioned Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan seeking dismissal of the Ministers from non-Telangana regions for allegedly making "objectionable" remarks against the separate statehood demand.
"We have been demanding an unconditional apology from the non-Telangana Ministers for describing those seeking separate Telangana as anti-nationals. They have not done that so far. We asked the Governor to either make the Ministers apologise for hurting our self-respect or dismiss them," party President K Chandrasekhar Rao told reporters in Hyderabad.
He was accompanied by leaders of Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC), that comprises TRS and various people's organisations.
Rao claimed the Ministers have lost the right to represent the entire state as they described Telangana supporters as "anti-nationals" in their report to the Centre-appointed Srikrishna Committee.
If no action is taken against the Ministers from coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema, TRS and the JAC would call for their boycott, the former Union Minister warned.
"We will not be responsible for the consequences once the boycott call is given. Then the responsibility lies with Governor and the Chief Minister," Rao maintained.
