The Telangana Rashtriya Samithi (TRS), spearheading the agitation for a separate state, on Wednesday submitted four reports to Justice B N Srikrishna Committee demanding that 'Telangana' be carved out of Andhra Pradesh.
TRS leader B Vinod Kumar met Vinod K Duggal, the Member-Secretary of the Committee for Consultations on the situation in Andhra Pradesh, and submitted the reports.
"We have submitted four voluminous reports stressing our demand for a separate Telangana state. We have given separate reports on the cultural, socio-economic and other issues," he told reporters in New Delhi.
Kumar said they were hopeful of a positive decision from the committee on the Telangana issue.
CPI and TDP leader Mysura Reddy also submitted their representations to the committee on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Justice Srikrishna committee will hold its fifth meeting in New Delhi on Thursday.
