india Updated: Sep 11, 2006 00:52 IST

Two suspects arrested in the July 11 serial bomb blasts case were on Sunday sent to Bangalore for conducting scientific tests, sources in the Anti-Terrorist Squad said in Mumbai.

Faisal Sheikh and Eteshaam Siddiqui, both LeT operatives, were sent to Bangalore for carrying out scientific tests at the Forensics Science Laboratory there, they said.

Both of them will undergo lie detector and brain mapping tests on Monday, they said adding, a decision regarding conducting the narco-analysis test will be taken on Monday.

Pakistan-trained Faisal Sheikh is considered to be an important LeT operative in Mumbai who recruited people and sent them for training in Pakistan, sources said. He was arrested by the Crime Branch of the Mumbai Police in the city and handed over to the ATS.

Etesham Siddiqui, also trained in Pakistan, was arrested after the blasts for allegedly planning further conspiracy by the Crime Branch and later handed over to ATS.

Two other suspects in the case, Kamal Ahmed Shaikh and Tanvir Ansari, were sent to FSL for scientific tests on Sunday.
