Two attacked with sword; one serious

TWO MEN were injured when they were attacked by another with a sword near the Five Number Stop late on Friday night. Police said the complainant, Yashwant Kamble, a resident of Arjun Nagar, had an altercation with the accused, Manish, who lives near his house.

TWO MEN were injured when they were attacked by another with a sword near the Five Number Stop late on Friday night. Police said the complainant, Yashwant Kamble, a resident of Arjun Nagar, had an altercation with the accused, Manish, who lives near his house.

Yashwant’s friend Shailendra tried to intervene but Manish attacked them with the sword. Shailendra was inflicted deep wounds in the head and shoulders; Yashwant was also injured.  Both were admitted to a hospital where the condition of Shailendra was reported serious. The accused had an old enmity with Yashwant.

BURGLARY: Burglars struck at a house in Arera Colony and looted jewellery and valuables worth around Rs 1.5 lakh on Friday night. According to police sources, the complainant, Devendar Singh, a resident of E-7 Arera Colony, had gone out to attend a ‘kirtan’ along with his family.

On their return they found the lock broken,  the house rummaged and gold and silver jewellery worth nearly Rs 1.5 lakh missing. The Habibganj police have registered a case and are looking into the matter.
