Seeking to revive its fortunes in Andhra Pradesh, where it has won just two Assembly seats in the recent elections, the BJP would hold its state executive meeting at Nizamabad from Saturday.
The two-day meeting will be attended by senior leaders M Venkaiah Naidu, Bangaru Laxman, Prakash Jawadekar and joint organising secretary V Satish, state BJP president Bandaru Dattatreya told reporters.
The state executive would discuss the poor performance of the party in the recent elections and ways to strengthen the party organisation.
The central leadership has identified Andhra Pradesh as one of the promising states, he said.
The party would go it alone in the coming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections, he said. Ahead of Saturday's meeting, the party's office-bearers meeting was held on Friday.
Asked about the absence of party's national secretary N Indrasena Reddy in Friday's meeting, Dattatreya said it could be due to personal reasons and nothing should be read between the lines.
Replying to a query, he said there are no differences among party leaders in the state.
