Two foreigners attacked in Nashik

Two Russian nationals, who arrived in Nashik for a medidation programme were attacked by unidentified men in Igatpuri, police said on Monday.

Two Russian nationals, who arrived in Nashik for a medidation programme were attacked by unidentified men in Igatpuri, police said on Monday.

Elina Rudichena (32) and Evon Dromin (24), who lost their way to the Igatpuri-based Vipassana centre, where they are undergoing a training programme, were attacked yesterday when they were taking a stroll in the area, they said.

The unknown villagers allegedly roughed up the duo, when they asked for the Centre's address, police said.

Both the injured Russians were treated at the Nashik civil hospital, they said adding further probe is on.
