Two people were killed and 18 injured when a tanker carrying liquified petroleum gas (LPG) hit a tractor-trailer carrying more than 30 passengers close to Fatehpur Sikri, police said on Thursday.
The incident occurred on Wednesday.
Villagers immediately rushed the injured to Agra's SN Medical College where two of the victims were declared dead, while the condition of at least four others was critical, doctors said.
All the injured are from a village near Achnera town, 30 km from Agra. Police said the driver and cleaner of the LPG tanker were absconding.
Villagers said the tractor was on the wrong carriageway.
