Two women of the same family were killed and three others injured on Sunday when an LPG cylinder exploded in Sidhauli area near Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh, police said.

The incident took place in Prem Nagar locality this morning when Mehsarun (40) and Shabeena (19) were killed in the blast while they were preparing breakfast, they said.

The injured have been rushed to the hospital where their condition was stated to be stable.
