Two people were killed and 33 wounded in a stampede at a mosque in Dhaka, as hundreds of people gathered to have a glimpse of a religious leader, local newspaper The Daily Star reported on Sunday.
One man died on the spot on Saturday, while another died in hospital.
"As the propitious moment came at 11 am, the crowds started pushing and shoving to get in through the main gate of the mosque to meet the religious leader," a witness was quoted as saying.
The injured, including nine women, were admitted to the nearby hospital.
