Two killed in landmine blast near LoC in Poonch

Two persons were killed and as many injured on Saturday when a landmine exploded near the Line of Control (LoC) in Mendhar area of Poonch district.

The landmine exploded when one of the victims stepped over it in a field at Dadot Kanga, about 180-kms from Jammu in Mendhar area of the district this afternoon, police sources said in Jammu.

The deceased have been identified as Riyasat Khan and Mohammad Asif, they said.

Mohammad Kafil and Mohammad Khalid, who were injured in the blast have been rushed to a hospital in Poonch.
