Two killed, two injured in truck-car collision

Two persons were killed and two others injured in a road mishap in Darwha Monday night when a speeding truck collided with a car coming from the opposite direction.

According to police, the truck (MH 15 BJ-2156) collided with the car, in which the deceased and injured were travelling, at Mungasaji Maharaj College in Darwha. The two persons in the car were killed on the spot, while two others sustained injuries.

They were admitted to the Govt hospital at Darwha where their condition is stated to be improving.

The names of the deceased are Haji Syed Hafeez and Vaijnath Selkar, both residents of Pusad while the names of the injured are Anil Dhokne and Ramdas Dangale, both from Pusad and they were returning from Yavatmal after attending some works in RTO office.

The truck driver fled from the spot with the truck after the accident. However, the cops tracked him at Bori Arab and arrested him. Further investigation is on.
