Two Hizbul Mujahideen militants were arrested in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir today, taking the number of ultras belonging the outfit who have been apprehended since Friday to six.
Ashaq Hussain Teli alias Imran and Abdul Qayoom Lone alias Asif were arrested during a search operation by troops of 29 Rashtria Rifles at Palhalan-Pattan, a police spokesman told PTI.
One AK 56 rifle, two magazines, 60 AK rounds, one pistol and its one magazine were recovered from their possession.
Police have registered a case in this regard and started an investigation, he said.
Four militants of the outfit were nabbed in the same area yesterday. One of them was carrying a Pakistani passport.
