In yet another honour killing in Haryana, two lovers aged 20 were murdered and their bodies were hung in the house of the young woman’s uncle at a village in Bhiwani district on Sunday.

The young woman’s family suspected she was in a relationship with a youth of same caste and disapproved of the affair.

The police have booked six members of the woman’s family, including her parents, for murder and started investigations. Monica was a matriculate and her boyfriend Pradeep was engaged in the milk vending business.

The bodies, bearing injury marks, indicated that the couple was beaten up mercilessly.

Bhiwani Sadar Station House Officer Prem Singh said on the phone, “It is an honour killing and a case has been registered against six persons, including the girl's parents and two of her uncles.” No arrest has been made so far, he added.
