Ten police personnel were suspended on Wednesday in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, following the escape of two naxals from jail.
Superintendent of Police Mayank Shrivastav said that police had arrested six alleged naxals from Dhaudai area yesterday.
They had been kept in Narayanpur prison, however two of them managed to escape last night, he said.
A departmental inquiry has been initiated into the incident, he said, adding that police has launched a manhunt to nab the prisoners.
These two naxals had been on police's wanted list for a long time, Shrivastav said.
